"Alchemy at its root is the transformation of the self."
Dedicated to self-transformation, The Alchemist's Kitchen hosts events with the goal of education, community, and empowerment. The Alchemist's Kitchen began as a premier destination spot for botanical remedies, but has since emerged as a gateway into a conscious lifestyle. All our digital offerings are curated to elevate and expand the mind, body, and soul.
Smell is the most direct means of communication with nature. We smell with every breath we take, constantly monitoring and experiencing the world around us, although we are not always conscious about it (only 8 molecules are needed to trigger an electrical impulse in a nerve ending, whereas roughly 45 nerve endings must be stimulated before we become aware of any smell).
In this very exciting workshop, Jasmine Bues the founder of organic herbal inhaler company Madison + Green, will identify the following questions:
What are essential oils, exactly? Why are essential oils so beneficial for people? Why is the olfaction method most beneficial for the human psyche?
Jasmine will also share interesting history behind the use of aromatic herbs and spices in ancient civilizations.
This workshop will conclude with a DIY: Jasmine will teach us how to make a simple inhaler at home, focusing on anxiety and stress relieving benefits.
